Just completed is this logo design and corporate identity project for TrinovaMed, a medical waste solutions company. The overall concept was to showcase their medical waste processing machine that virtually transforms ugly waste into something inert, biodegradable and eventually something beautiful.
The logo design is a butterfly to suggest the transformation of the caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly life cycle. The wings are green leaves to connect the concept of recycling the inert waste back into the earth. The butterfly concept was so well received, that TrinovaMed decided to name their newest machine the Monarch Green Machine after the well known species.
Since the machine creates a rather shredded final product, the look and feel of the illustration style I created incorporates the rough and textured flat colors that mimic this process. The collateral has a clean and colorful layout to imply just that – this is a cleaner technology. Showcased here are the press kit pages and folder, letterhead, tradeshow display and the logo laser-cut into the machine panel. Interactive design was also part of the project.
